kingandpaynter, what a load of bollocks

Opposition player, managers & officials have literally stated the exact same thing, hardly bollocks...

It’s too big, and fans are just too far away to feel connected. I was up in the gods today, near their mob, who at least made some noise. Even they were singing is this a library.

If you’d have taken them away, I could have been forgiven for thinking I was at the theatre.

bulohan, can't say I've seen any of those comments, I've been in the stadium when its had a good atmosphere, ironically its normally when we're playing well, I've also been in there when its had a shit atmosphere , this time when we;re playing shit.

I've also been at upton park when its had both kinds of atmopsheres and strangely enough its exactly the same reasons as the ones given above.

Id love to go back to upton park and don't try and dress it up as some kind of fortress that always had an incredible atmosphere because it didn't.

Ah! The white elephant in the room.

Can I still say "white" without risking of a card of color?

They were singing “is this a library” because our disgusting awful play and nothing to shout about.

Nothing to do with the stadium

simon s , strange that, that they were as high up as you but could make some noise but we can't do the same. Maybe its time for us to look at ourselves then rather than the stadium

The @afcbournemouth captain Simon Francis tells @bbc5live that Europa League qualification would "be a natural progression for us." He also says West Ham's Olympic Stadium is a "strange place to play" and the home crowd are too far away to get behind their team effectively #afcb

There you go Chelmo, carrying on deluding yourself that that stadium hasn’t totally stolen our identity from us...

bulphan, the well known sage steveFrancis. Cant say I've ever really listened to what he's got to say before and doubt i'll bother again.

Just wonder if the result against Bournemouth and the way we played might have a little something to do with the atmosphere that day, the same as today.

of course away fans will enjoy it more, they only have to endure it once a year. it will never be a football stadium in it's present state. is it to blame for how crap we are? not really

Carry on burying your head in the sand...

We were ahead in that game for half an hour. They only equalised in the 60th minute, so what’s the excuses for that hour then?

Re: The London Stadium...
Indeed Everton chairman Bill Kenwright used West Ham's London Stadium as an example of everything the Toffees want to avoid recently when promising supporters they will not repeat the mistakes made at the former Olympic Stadium.

The 72-year-old, speaking at a supporters' meeting in Liverpool last month - as reported by West Ham fan's site Knees Up Mother Brown - criticised the stadium when asked by a fan during a Q&A section whether the proposed Bramley Moore Dock development would 'be like West Ham's'.

Bill Kenwright, chairman of Everton looks on prior to the Premier League match between Everton and Stoke City at Goodison Park on August 12, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

"No - being sat at West Ham was the worst experience ever," Kenwright said, as reported by KUMB.

Re: The London Stadium...
bulphan , you struggle to read peoples posts obviously. I will state again I WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK TO UPTON PARK. The only difference between you and me is you seem to remember it as this place that always had an incredible atmosphere and we were never thrashed there, whereas i remember it slightly differently but that doesn't mean i wouldn't like to return there . But you have have choice , wait for us to go back there or get on with what we've got now. Personally i'll chose the latter because not doing so will make me as bitter and twisted as you.

Stuart Pearce - "You know it doesn't take much for West Ham fans to turn a little bit and leave the Stadium and he's [Pellegrini] right saying what he has - we need to unite as a football club."

Re: The London Stadium...
Who actually has been to a game in the stadium.

How about Spurs 1-0, Palace 3-0, and Everton last game

Nothing wrong with the stadium and everything to do with bad decisions by the board resulting in bad decisions by the manager resulting in poor performing players.

Bring back Moyes

Re: The London Stadium...
The stadium isn’t conducive to West Ham United, or an atmosphere it would seem.

Upton Park suited us down to the ground, even if it wasn’t rocking week in week out...

bulphan, the atmosphere is fine when the team puts in a performance very much the same as it was at upton park
